WA Day Festival 2016

This WA Day, Elizabeth Quay will come to life with a huge new WA Day Festival, celebrating the best of Western Australian culture.

On Monday 6 June from 10am to 9pm, Elizabeth Quay will be jam packed with free activities for the whole family. Visitors are invited to spend the day exploring Western Australian music, food, sports, arts and culture.

Barrack Street Jetty

Building Our Future

Using Lego, here’s your opportunity to create your vision for our State. Renowned Western Australian Artist, Lewis Horne will be on hand to assist with the brainstorming and building.

Circus Skills Workshop

Join Propel Youth Arts WA for this fun filled circus workshop including juggling, uni-cycle, spin sticks, poi, spinning plates, hula-hoops and much more!

Iconic Species Face Painting

The Imagination Playground

Royal Flying Doctors Service

On display at the WA Day Festival will be a model of the center piece of the RFDS aircraft fleet – the Pilatus PC12 aircraft plus some of our front line staff including RFDS Doctors, Nurses and Pilots.

Shoot Hoops with the Perth Wildcats and Perth Lynx

There are two inflatables – one to test the speed of your kick; one to test the accuracy of your handball skills.

Enjoy slow flow, Vinyasa yoga with Millie, 200 RYT and Kids Yoga instructor and founder of Spectrum Yoga. Spectrum offer yoga for all levels in gorgeous outdoor spaces.

Main Stage

WA Burger Competition
11:30am – 12:30pm
The hunt is on to find the most creative, most delicious and most interesting burger in the state! Recipes will feature produce which has been farmed, fished or grown in Western Australia.

Four burger recipes are selected by burger king Justin Bell from JusBurgers and finalists invited to a cook-off on-stage.The winning burger will be featured on the JusBurgers menu for a defined period of time. The winner will also receive dinner for four at Jusburgers and $500 cash.

MATSO’S Raw Live and Unplugged
1:00pm – 4:00pm
Search for WA’s finest live, unsigned and unplugged acoustic musos. Finalists will perform at the WA Day Festival. Finalists will battle it out in rounds with judges deciding the overall winner to be crowned Perth’s Best New Acoustic Act.  For more information about the competition visit the Matso’s facebook page.
