Manning Park Trail Run

Presented by Friends of the Community, is the first annual Manning Park Trail Run. It is a 5km course which includes a lap around the lake, the Manning Park stairs, and some bush tracks and gravel. Participants can run or walk the 5km.

When:

Sunday, 15th May 2016

 

Where:

Manning Park, Azelia Rd, Hamilton Hill. Check-in at Azelia Ley Homestead for the race.

 

Cost:

Registrations close 12th May 2016.

Individual Adult Entry: $20

Family Entry (2 adults, 2 kids): $50 – any extra child $10 each

Individual Under 16s Entry: $10

 

On the Day Timetable:

Check-ins will be between 7:45 and 8:20am (to pick up timing chips and race bib). Please arrive before 8:20am to ensure you have time to check-in and warm-up.

At 8:35 our MC will give a event briefing and run through race warm-up for all participants. 

The starting point for both events is the near Azelia Ley Homestead. The race will start at 9am.

From the event website:

This is a 5km run or walk, suitable for most people. It starts at Azelia Ley Homestead with a lap around the lake. Then up the 160 steps of the Manning Stairs. From the top you get a magnificent view of the ocean. This is followed by a descent into the bush tracks. There are some steep sections and loose gravel. The tracks circle back to Azelia Ley and the race will finish with a lap around the lake.

Families and people with disabilities can choose to walk or jog four times around the lake covering a similar distance to the Trail Run.”
