Event Details:
David Brown, from the Perth Electric Tramway Society, will share his fascination with this mode of transport and its impact on the community at Nedlands Library from 10.30am-11.30am.
Broadway was originally designed to accommodate traffic alongside the new tramline through the bush from Subiaco to the Nedlands Baths while other lines went along the Perth-Fremantle Road and around Mounts Bay Road.
David is a motorman on the Whiteman Park trams and author of the 2010 book Tracks by the Swan, a comprehensive history of the Perth trams and trolley buses.
