Two new venues are opening in Elizabeth Quay with the V Burger Bar and The Reveley opening their doors for business this April 2016. The V Burger Bar already have two locations: East Victoria Park and Floreat. To celebrate the opening of their third restaurant, V Burger Bar are giving away the first 100 burgers of the day, over their first three opening days beginning Thursday 14th April. Kids Big Carnival The wait is almost over.. the Kids Big Carnival in Wanneroo starts this Saturday the 16th. For those of you who already have tickets you may want to check out the event map and event program so you don’t miss out on the scheduled performers. New Perth Cable Car Commissioned A new cable car has been commissioned by the Tourism Council WA which would connect Elizabeth Quay to Kings Park. According to Perth Now the cable car would cost $80 million and “a preliminary study by the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority found the cable car system was “technically feasible” and “commercially viable without government funding”. It is expected to generate over $30 million in new tourism spending. Would you ride in it? Now in its 3rd decade, the Fair has grown to become one of the major annual events in the northern suburbs. It is designed to give community groups with limited resources an opportunity to raise their own funds which otherwise may not have been possible. Organisations which have benefited in the past by using the Fair as a means of supplementing their own fund raising efforts include scouting groups, Silver Chain, Motor Neurone Disease Association, Red Cross, school P&C’s, junior sporting clubs and the like.
